Say "NO" To Cervical Cancer!

This health awareness campaign's focus was specifically on cervical cancer and on HPV injection that has been known worldwide as a reliable vaccine these past few years. However from the response of a questionnaire we prepared,  70% of the people out there have ONLY a slight idea on how high their risk is to have cervical cancer and that HPV injection is the step that should be taken to avoid an individual from getting cervical cancer.

It is very important for women to care for themselves, not only in the way they dress or look but also for their health! It is important for them to know the risk and the ways to prevent this disease as it is easily applicable. It's easy to protect yourself so do it!

Therefore, by doing this health awareness campaign we had the opportunity to give a more solid idea to the students is Taylor's University on what cervical cancer is and how HPV injection is the way to prevent this disease!

For our campaign, a booth was set up in the university campus with the headline “SAY NO TO CERVICAL CANCER”. With that we were able to capture the attention of the students there. The campaign was held on the on 28th May with pink as the colour of the theme (most girls love pink too!)

Busy preparing for the crowd!

The campaign was assisted by GSK Malaysia who partially sponsored the banners and the extra facilities needed. From this event we managed to convince about 100 people to register for the HPV vaccination.  Therefore, the event was a successful event for our club. As it was an event that can be considered large scaled, we were proud to be a part of this success! =D

Cupcakes from a pretty girl, anyone? ;)

Thank you to all who were involved!

In the future we look forward to do more of this type of events where we can bring a positive change to others, especially to students in our campus! Look forward to more, people! =D
